Hiking clothing is more focused on weather protection and durability, while sportswear often focuses on lightness and ventilation.
Hiking clothing usually uses more durable and waterproof and windproof materials. It also often has more functional elements.

1. Removes moisture from the body well.
   
2. Dries quickly after getting wet.
   
3. Keeps warm in cold weather.
   
4. Protects against wind and rain.
   
5. Withstands load and wear.

Clothes should be made of breathable, quick-drying and wear-resistant materials (synthetics or wool). It is also desirable that it be waterproof. Make clothes from three layers: basic (thermal underwear), middle (warm middle part) and outer (windproof and water-repellent).
Look for clothes with extra features like vents, pockets, adjustable cuffs.
